Rocking the Trend

Leather is back on the scene in a big way!! Guess what, it's no longer reserved for just bad boys and bikers. It's one of this season's must haves to work into your Fall and Winter wardrobe.

We have seen tons of celebrities rocking leather dresses, black and color, on the red carpet at different events. Such as Mandy Moore in a leather LBD with gold jewelry or Jennifer Garner who wore a navy-and-black leather paneled dress. While leather paneled dresses aren't new to fashion, Jennifer's look reminded us how chic and edgy the trend can be when done right. Also, Brooke Burke took the plunge in a tight leather mini dress with silver hooped earrings, red lipstick and a beaded clutch she proved leather can also offer femininity and elegance

What look is complete without a great pair of shoes? A pair of basic pumps makes a leather dress prim and proper. While sandals keep your look sexy and your feet comfortably cool. In the colder months, pair your leather with boots or booties to help keep your feet warm and toasty. You could go daring with knee-high boots that leaves a tiny strip of leg between the two. On that same note, ankle boots are an edgy but more conservative pairing. A pair of tights literally adds another layer of style. Wanna dress it down? Ballet flats make it more practical for daytime wear and keeps the look girly yet comfortable.

I’m excited to tell you that we finally found the sexiest little black dress yet! We love Simply Me’s newest LBD, “Walk this Way” with an artificial leather inset. It’s sexy but feminine. It’s sleek but sophisticated. Without a doubt, it will have you turning heads and causing whip lash everywhere you go! Depending on how you accessorize, this leather paneled dress can be worn everywhere from the boardroom to a fancy soiree. This dress hugs your frame in all the right places without the need for a good pair of Spanx, ladies! A lot of replica leather can look inexpensive but this looks like the real thing and an absolute bargain at this price!

Ok, so maybe you’re a little apprehensive because you've never worn leather anywhere but on your feet? Well, we have another simple subtle way to work this trend into your Fall/ Winter wardrobe. Paired with leggings or your favorite denim, our “Sweet Obsession” knit top with leather like insets down the sleeves, offers just a hint of Girlie Girl gone Weekend Rocker.

Whether you go full blown moto chic or tip toe into trendsetter, I am confident you can find a way to blend leather into your closet this season. We want to know...do you dare?!  Email us your thoughts and favorite Fall trends!

 'Til next time...
